John Richards

John Richards has spent his last 14 years in the Appleton Area School District. He holds degrees in both criminal justice as well as broad field social studies and is certified in charter school instruction. He has been a regular presenter at the ISN state conventions on charter schools, focusing on classroom technology, integration and inquiry based learning. He was a co-founder of Kaleidoscope Academy, a 6-8 middle school focusing on inquiry-based instruction, technology, and fine arts education.

He was named the director of The Renaissance School for the Arts in 2015 and he teaches, civics and English language arts in the 9th, 10th, and 11th grades.

Todd Kadolph

Todd Kadolph began his career in education in Prescott, Arizona, where he taught and coached for eight years. His first administrative position was in 1993/1994 at Shenandoah High School, in east-central Indiana, as Assistant Principal/Athletic Director. Spending two years in that position, he moved on to be the principal at the same high school, serving that position for three more years. 

After Shenandoah High School, Todd took a position on the south-side of Chicago in Hammond, Indiana, where he spent a total of five years as both a high school Assistant Principal and also a high school Principal. 

Todd came to the AASD in 2003, spending the first two years as the Associate Principal for Curriculum/Instruction at North High school, before eventually moving on to the same position at Appleton West high school where he has been for the past ten years. Todd’s wife Karrie is the Administrative Assistant for the AASD Summer School Program.
